Multiple MPVI2's On One Account

I currently have two MPVI2's, both were purchased new and I use both of them regular.

I have not tried it yet, but my question, if I sync each of them with my laptop, do I have to keep track of which one has which vehicle licensed to it? Or, does the software simply check if I had already licensed that vehicle and as long as I have synced the currently connected interface, continue and allow a write to occur?

Currently, I have been keeping track of which MPVI2 I had licensed the currently connected vehicle with assuming I had to keep them paired to be able to write, which is proving to be a hassle.

Correct, software/hardware talk and determine what licenses are linked to what interface.
