seems like installation is failing on macos 10.15 catalina. I'm receiving the following message.
installer: Package name is RaceRender for macOS
installer: Installing at base path /
installer: The install failed. (The Installer encountered an error that caused the installation to fail. Contact the software manufacturer for assistance. The package is attempting to install content to the system volume.)
Unfortunately, with 10.15 Catalina, Apple has stopped supporting the automated installer that we were using, so you will need to use the Manual Install Package for now until a more elegant solution can be put in place.
As of last night's release of the RaceRender v3.7.3 update, our Mac download link now gives you this manual install zip file. The good news is that the process is very simple for Mac users... Just open the ZIP file, drag & drop its RaceRender 3 application file into your Mac's main Applications folder, and then drag & drop its RaceRender 3 documents folder (the one that contains Styles, Templates, etc) into your user Documents folder. The included "Read Me" text file covers this as well.
