Buying a used MPVI2 w/Pro Link and 8 credits.
I know how to check the SN and Verification ID.
Wondering if the Pro features are linked to the device or to an on-line account? Also can I check the credits on VCM?
Are there any other things I should look out for?

you should open a support ticket with the SN of the device to make sure there are no negative flags on the account before purchasing. Pro features are linked to the device. The only way to check the credits on the device is via the person who currently ownes it. We can tell you how many WERE on the device but not how many are LEFT on the device.
