E38 Pontiac G6 won't communicate with emissions

Hey guys,

Anybody run into an issue where the emissions testing station cannot connect to the ECM ?

Car is a 2009 Pontiac G6. E38 controller.

I can connect just fine with HP tuners, use the scanner and download the tune.

But apparently the idiot at the emissions testing facility and AutoZone keep getting a connection error.

When I connect my HP Tuners interface to the car, but NOT my laptop, the power light on the interface is on. So this leads me to believe the ODB port has power.
