L5P stock worth any extra power??

Had a friend of mine ask if there is anything to be gained tuning a stock 2017 duramax. He plans on doing a delete sooner or later but asked me if it would be worth it to unlock it early =.

So even before any mods some good power can be had?

I am curious what kinda power can be made with stock truck. I have the hardware leftover from my C7 Z06 and would like to try it. Anyone?
