2010 HHR VATS Question (Security Light on IPC)

Tonight I had a friend in a pinch when his HHR lost the ignition key programming and he had to be to work tonight. He uses his car for delivery for a medical drug company. I told him to pay for the two credits and I'd disable the VATS system getting it running again. Sure enough it fired right up after I disabled the VATS and programmed it.

We noticed the Theft Light remained lit on the IPC. Is this due to the IPC not being able to communicate with the VATS system now? I told him we'd probably just have to pull the bulb. We have started it over a dozen times now with no issues.

Were you able to resolve that? If so what did you find? I saw in the software (for my 2001 S10) there are two parameters that can be
set relating to the VATS. Did you change both or just one?

He is still driving it with the security light on in the IPC. Its because the IPC is looking for something no longer programmed.
