I have a 97 maro and I'm having issues trying to get it started i changed serial to pcm and turned p1626, 1629, 1630 and 1631 on dtcs no error reporter and as well as immobilizer 1677 off but still cant start the car. Any ideas?

no it doesnt it just has the solid security light and when i try to turn the key it wont do anything .im trying to use the hp to disable the vat but there is a blank os page and the vat only has two options in the system tab the serial and the pwm . i have the things i listed in the dcs check boxes above mentioned checked as nothing report. not sure what to do.Quote:

Turning off vats in the pcm wont fix a no crank condition on that. You need to do the pass key disable with the resistor across the two wires running down the steering column. Have to measure the resistor chip in the key and put one close to that value across the wires. Google pass key disable with resistor.
