2004 ba falcon 4.0

Ok so i have a issue! I connect the hp tuner to the OBD and try to read the files and when I do this after pushing read the fields stay blank but says read is done and then thats it. So i go to hardware (where it is blank) and try find ford 4.0 but it has a heap of other green oak ford etc etc. I mite add also it won't even pick up the vehicles vin number.
Any body know wat is going wrong? Also I can read the scanner on the same vehicle just not read the computer files.

Guessing it's been tuned with SCT, if you manually select black oak 1472K it should read the file & then post it here or PM & should be able to give you the correct info for it!

The car use to be mine had it from near new i gave it to my sister and it hasn't been tuned ever before which is why I'm unsure wat is going on haha will do mate thanx for your help .
