So I've been tuning GM Ls motors for a few years with the MPVI pro version 1.
I recently picked up a 2017 Audi A5 Cabrio 2.0t Quattro with the 8 speed tiptronic trans which falls in a gap in the supported vehicles list.
A5 support only lists the 3.0L V6 but the 2.0t is listed under the A4 2.0L TFSI (B8).
Does anyone have a clear answer on this?

2017 is the gen3 TFSI I would guess it’s not supported
NO its not which sux as the MQB platform and the 2.0L TSI/TFSI is one of the most common sold cars worldwide (VW Golf GTI, R, Passat, Tiguan/ Audi S3,A5
and many more.....
So I logged a question with HP Tuners support, their response:
"If I could get a picture of the PCM service stickers this would help. You will need the MPVI2 and the latest beta software available to work with this vehicle if it's supported."
So it looks like I have to do a little digging (its under the windshield wipers and reservoir tank). Might try tonight.
So after digging the ECM/PCM out and sending a photo of it to support they have confirmed it is supported by MPVI2 and the Beta release of the software. Looks like I need to send mine in for an upgrade :drivin:. (oh, and learn how to tune the VW OS)

So my MPVI2 showed up yesterday and I tired to connect it to the Audi via the current version (4.6.3) but got a boat load of errors (figured it was worth a shot). I was able to download the ECM / TCM OS / configs but when I went to read / edit, no dice. I then downloaded Beta version 4.7.242 and bingo. I was able to read and download the ECM / TCM OS / configs. It wasn't completely error free which has me hesitant to make any changes but I'll be reviewing a few logs and ECM parameters to see what's what.
Here's a slow 0-60 run with a brief highway cruise
