Cant read my truck

I am having a problem, I originally read my truck with my older version of VCM Editor. I then worked on it with 4.0. Now if I read my truck it is asking for a new license to read it with the older version. Is there something I can do short of buying new credits?

Reading the file shouldn't require credits. Only saving modified files.
