What values are you guys changing to control the idle? After a cam swap.....My idle is bouncing all over the place
Anyone? The idle is stable but if you give it revs it will take a minute to settle back. In drive it surges. I've been playing with the idle torque throttle fields. Am I in the right place?
what year model
when doing a cam swap there is about 30 different tables to rearrange in a dodge
2015 5.7 Charger
It's going to be mainly fueling in the ve..
or in your case. Neural network "virtual ve" if its got a 4 degree..
I started ANN tuning the car and its pretty dialed in at idle. Fuel trims seem legit but when you blip the throttle it hunts to find it. Also, it surges in drive.
Coming from GM it just seems like it needs a little more idle airflow. The cam isn't that large but it needs some more air.
The car runs fine, doesn't surge but it seems to bog a big on medium to hard braking. Airflow drags down a bit and the car dies on occasion. Any recommendations?
post the tune
So this is the latest tune we had. Car runs fine but dies during braking and turning with no gas. Just straight braking hasn't seemed to kill it yet. I don't think it died on this scan but it does dip well below idle a few times and bounces back.

you will never get your fueling right with stock VE and keeping Neural Network active
Yeah, I learned that pretty quick. I regret trying the ANN set up with this setup. I'll keep ANN tuning to only bolt on cars from now on but this car is fully tuned. It runs good and is dialed in except for this dying issue. I don't think it's the fueling either. It seems solid and the fuel trims look good but it seems like it isn't getting the air needed.
