Does anyone have any info on using winOLS with a 6.4 powerstroke PCM?
what do you need?
Well I?m not exactly sure, I am new to this and am just trying to find as many resources as possible to try and start learning this stuff.
Any help would be greatly appreciated sir!
if your tuning with winols then hp tuners is going to be pointless. what are you using to put the binary in the pcm?
Is That where the KTAG or KESS or something would come in to play??
kess is a passthrough for obd2, ktag is a passthrough for direct to the pcm weather its in service mode or direct to solder connection. on the 6.4's you have to open the pcm up and either solder or have an adapter to connect to the board. thats just going to allow you to to import and export your bin from the pcm to pc. winols is the actual tuning software you would use to import your bin into to modify. you can also use hex editor or something.
