RaceRender network usage?

What is up with that? I cant make videos without internet connection??

An Internet connection is not required, and RaceRender will operate completely offline... I use it all the time at the track with no Internet connection. However if Internet connectivity is available, RaceRender will use it to check the status of program updates, premium features, and less directly, Windows may also use it to verify our publisher identity.
