Quick question guys
I was wondering if I can setup in speed density and still run stock MAF like up to maybe 7k hz
Then from there start fueling from primary VE?
I?m thinking I would need to fail MAF around that target correct?
Upgrade OS and MAP sensor as well correct?.
Only going to be pushing about 5psi.
Already upgraded pump and injectors.
Truck is driving amazing but haven?t done any wide open throttle pulls yet.
Just trying to get some advice thanks in advance.
Dynamic disable setting works the oposite from that, unfortunately.
Do you think fattening the MAF up top will work with 5lbs?
I would just install the 2 bar OS, tune the VE for as needed and attempt to tune the MAF as well.
Target a specific air fuel ratio under boost and make the airflow model get you there.
Would have to upgrade the map correct?? If I go 2 bar
Why would you try to get by without doing that anyway, no matter if you keep the stupid* MAF or not?

It will still drive like stock. The OS change is just so that you can properly read boost and tune the fueling for boost.
In all likelihood it will run best with the MAF carefully removed, placed in a ziploc bag, and stuffed on the back of a dusty shelf somewhere where you won't touch it again for the next 10 years.

I agree with the previous, 2bar os, no maf, decent 2 bar map sensor, correct injector data if changing, wideband O2 sensor to tune. Dial in fuel VE table first at lower map areas then slowly move into boost areas.
Speed density is ideal

When done driving around, sit down at the kitchen table and fine tune your VE map based on what you logged.
apply filters such as TPS > 5% so you can filter out data which was collected when you were off the throttle (or whatever)
A key to fine tuning is being able to tell which data is relevant and which to ignore. You look at averages, data capture per cell, transitional vs steady state effects, etc...
