Our V1 of the scanner is not adjustable however our V2 will be.
What is the projected launch date of V2?
It all depends on how much feedback and request for changes we get on V1.
I would like to see the V2 software package released in about 2 months from now. It will be distributed in the form of 1 exe file that is approximately 1.5mb in size. You will need to instal it over your current V1 software. No need to uninstall anything.
Couple things we'd like to see implemented in the V2 software is more comparison features in the current editor and a much more user customizable scan tool.
So if you already have V1, all you need to upgrade to V2 is that File? No need to sell the V1, and purchase V2? If so, that'd be sweet.
No need to purchase V2 at all, it will be distributed freely. :)
You should probably decide a a version numbering system. V2 sounds a little high for something that will only have been out for two months. Maybe save V2.0 for a major revision and call the next release V1.1 or something like that.
Well the scan tool will recieve many upgrades, editor will recieve some upgrades as well..
2 months may seem like its kind of sudden but it won't take us that long to put out new software.. who knows though, 2 months may come along and we might just call it version 1.2, but for now version 2 is just clean version # to say.
I'm in Quality Assurance (Integration testing) at a phone company, so for me to see V1 change to V2 is like one or two years. Two months is like a major shock to my system. ;D LOL
How about starting a forum called:
Feature Requests
and one called
Known bugs/Issues
That way the support forum isn't filled with feature requests and known bug issues.... That way it's also easy to see a list of requested features so that they aren't posted and request time and time again.
Not that I am a developer or anything ;)
