If I do NOT have my STOCK, FACTORY tune, can I simply find a STOCK FILE in the repository, and do a WRITE ENTIRE?
The end goal is to convert to a FLEX FUEL OS, but I currently already have a 3 bar custom OS.
Will I need a different, new, PCM, or can I OVERWRITE what I have, and simply START OVER?
you will need your original file and write entire, you can not reverse the enhanced tune

on the older PCMS yes you can
make sure the OS is matching your current and you can overwrite
You can try BUT you will need to spend credits to do that. I did find one with Flex Capability. OS number is 12216125 and its for a P01.Quote:

Just to update...
As stated, I have unlimited 2002 Silverado credits for HPTuners
Did a "Write Entire" from my existing 3 bar SD OS (12212156 > 1261002)...
back to a STOCK TUNE 12212156 OS
Never even tried to start the car...
Then, did another "Write Entire" to an already Flex Fuel adapted (spark and fuel) 12216125 2 bar SD OS
Just need to get the FF sensor plumbed and wired up.
I didn't NEED a 2 bar SD OS, but that's the only one I could find that was an easy swap, already had the flex fuel tables in the tune, AND didn't cost me any extra credits.
I'm just happy I didn't BRICK the PCM, LOL
Get a little (read:LOT) nervous when that BRICKABLE label pops up...lol
I think I used the same one that you found, a 2002 Silverado with 6.0/4L80E, and flex fuel adapted already...but it now appears to be gone?Quote:
