2004.5 Dyno results

Here is my first trip to the dyno, 442hp and 883lbft. Truck is on stock cp3 and injectors, stock turbo, stock head bolts. 3000uS, 28* timing, 160Mpa, and 38psi psi of boost. I guess my question is, how hard are you guys running stock trucks? I feel like Im just about at the limit of what would be considered "safe" but then again I dont really know. More room to grow with tuning, or does my next step include hard parts?

I'd run it harder, 3200uS, 32* timing, 180Mpa. Just for the big tune. I don't run that high of pressure on daily most of the time. Let that old girl eat! No hard parts needed yet.

Oh man. I would not run that high of boost consistently with stock head bolts. Just asking for trouble. Not saying you can't, but why risk it? I always play the safe side though. I dont like much over 32 psi on stock bolts.

Head bolts and my converter are really worrying me at this point. I work at a transmission shop and Im building a 48re with a billet input and triple disk converter as we speak. As far as the bolts go, im going to throw APR studs at it when I get the money for a s463 second gen swap. Next time Im on the dyno I might give it a little more rail pressure, duration, and timing like Dom suggested, but I think ill daily the truck in my current tune, no smoke and it runs good!
