Yes, you should be able to do that. Back when I had my GTO I pulled the tunes from a Diablo and studied them to make incremental changes to my stock tune.

I just bought a 10" Winbook yesterday. I installed HPT and got it to recognize the interface but haven't done any read/write yet. I mostly use HPT to diagnose issues/read codes at the track so...
How can I get the new beta? I'll send in my truck's file as soon as I can read it.
236/238 .601/.605
That's what I'm going to do. I'm in the process of putting together a file to start from fresh and properly dial in the VE and MAF.
I noticed how Dynamic Cylinder Air was an inverse wave of the rpm but wasn't sure which one drove which. I was planning to try RussK's Idle Scan next to see if that helped out.
Sorry, I was mistaken.
HPTuners doesn't support the Vortec V8 engines.

I just bought a new car (2001 Z06) and it's having an issue finding idle when coasting (clutch in) to a stop. It drops to 500rpm, blips to 1500, back down to 700, up to 1200, .... , until it settles...
Bill just sent me the latest so he's in the process of catching up with the requests.
Come on now... It's only been 11 months since this teaser thread was started.
Besides, we're still waiting for the burrito warmer that was teased in 2.0. ;)
The Vector kit has a breakout harness that pulls the two pins from the stock IAT and wires them to their proprietary (faster) sensor. I noticed considerable differences in my LS2 GTO with their kit...
The Diablo tune isn't really all that tweaked. It uses the stock VE table and adds some timing. The changes are elsewhere in the tune. You can use HPT to read the PCM with the Diablo tune in it...
I just installed Windows 7 (build 7048) on my laptop and the drivers in the beginning of this thread loaded fine.
That damn o-ring has caused many headaches on LSx motors. It's the "optispark" of the LSx. I had problems with mine when I put together the motor in my Corvette. Glad to hear that you figured it...
Cat Overtemp?
Or just hit "Manage Attachments" and attach them to the message. Thanks in advance.
This sounds pretty interesting. Would you mind posting it for the rest of us to see?
Yes. Put the car in open loop when you put the wideband sensor in place of the stock narrowband. Then do all of your tuning in open loop.
Send me your e-mail address and I'll send you a hot tune...
There is a VE table in the E40. When I tuned mine, I ran in SD for a few days to get it dialed in. There's an SD tuning guide around here somewhere. Let me see if I can find it.
Edit: ...
I've noticed the same. I would like to log oil pressure on the roadcourse but if it's not accurate, there's no point.

Thanks Bill. I just checked and it's 3600 for my LS2 GTO. That doesn't explain the lean condition that I'm seeing 2000-3600 at high MAP. It wasn't there in SD but once I enabled MAF, it's there.
I've always heard that LS1/6s use the MAP/VE for airflow calculation below 4k RPM and then use the MAF after that point. I assume that there's a range where it uses some blend of the two. Does the...

Let me know how it turns out. I'm going to the track on Thursday so I'd like to tweak mine between now and Thursday and then do some PE tuning at the track. Other than a K&N drop-in and the IAT...
