Hey guys, Bill from HP locked the other thread pertaining to this but myself and a few others have had this happen multiple times, HPT says the tune file is corrupt or tuner locked but this is a dead...

I did not have an incompatible OS unless it came that way from GM. Simply pulled it out modified and reloaded it .... did this a few times and then it locks.

Any more info or help with this?

We have had the same issue on multiple ECU's. The files are NOT locked but after a few flashes it would give the same error.

Process was:

Swap Ecu
Pull...

The ecu was read out and then modified and re -written (not write entire) it worked just fine for about 10 modifications/write process then locked up.

This same thing has happened in this truck with two different ecms. Neither one were locked and both were tuned and then this error came up after multiple revisions.

They are a FIC 1000cc based off the Bosch EV14 deal

Otherwise only mods I know done to the car is a Line lock and the transmission/clutch changes. I will need to find out what injector it has to ensure correct data there.

Cleaned/Changed the throttle body same issue. Just seems odd it can drive fine on the road until you try and let the rear wheels go faster then the front.

About to put this back on the dyno and try this, Any other thoughts or ideas?

We have been having this issue on a procharged ls3 with a stock throttle body right after a wot pull it goes into reduced power and 1516 comes up.

Anyone else help with this? I was considering doing a write entire to swap it to a different OS and see if that would change anything.

The only way I have found to upload them to the device is as a "Stock" file which doesn't allow to load multiples etc
