I would not agree more. For now really there is no EXACT science behind the new stuff and everyone is just trying to "get by".
You need to flash it with a MDI unit. All the security and key stuff isn't happy.
Also still on subject i wonder how many tuners chase their tales with this issue or write it off as a "bad trans"

I'm not a huge fan. I've seen them. I've been doing the A6 tran stuff for close to 6+ years and they live to 600-700-800+ if tuned and cooled correctly.
Also the trans tune still needs work.
Fluid is low .5 or so if it only slips in 1st. If it slips in 2nd you are 1 quart low.
The C7Zs I've came across already have those at 100%
Get the correct PCM and have someone with a MDI flash it.
Yea the NA stuff is fine. Factory they won't go WOT until 3,500 or so on the stock tune.
Did another C7Z today 2015 with just long tubes and cold air. Very little fight on that one.
I'll have to get back in the seat of the one I did yesterday.
My only major issue was the throwing slow to go WOT only 5,000 RPMS on up. Did various adjustments to DD and PEAK engine toque along...

I have a couple of tunes I've used one is from my old white car that went 10.6's and also my buddies blue 2008 that went 10.6's NA as well.
The octane matters trust me. It's a 10.5:1 compression engine.
I guess for the time i'll have to stick to the old stuff. I used the newer scanner when needed before and it's gonna have to stay that way until I can get each car back in my hands and make all new...
Why not make anything interchangeable from the old scanner? Some people have HOURS and days into making configs for all the various stuff and have layouts that work best for each platform example...
Simple way is RAF idle speed and timing.
Right now i can already hear alot of timing recovery.
