A friend of mine with a 2004 suburban 5.3l/4l60 pulled the motor, pcm, and wiring harness. Replaced with 6.0l motor, pcm and wiring harness from 2004 Sierra 6.0l/4l80e.
Had a local tuning friend...
went back to my pre ve tuning file and did some logging with ltft turned off.
here are the results. added my config file I used as well.
this is a stock calibration other than transmission tuning done by someone else before i bought the car. And me messing with the ve table. Car has 120k on it now. I just know that if you are on the...
I have been doing ve tuning. But i left ltft on. I'll be doing another log today with them turned off and see what happens.
ben along time since I've done any tuning. basically while cruising, when I accelerate, it will go around 8-10% adding via the stft. not much in the repository for corvettes.

reading this thread suggests a problem the vats module is seeing outside the pcm control...

my laptop crashed (XP). bought a new one (VISTA 32). i have all 99 and 00 f-bodies open. went to go and retune a car i have done numerous times (00 f-body) on the XP laptop. read the file, edited the...
thanks
here's a good one. while perusing the tables i had a random thought. seeing as i removed the MAF and now in CLSD, in the dynamic airflow table the MAF takes over at 4000 rpms to do airmass prediction...
on the cars, some came with a button on the console called performance shift. activate it and it uses those tables.
is the LTIT in the negative? if so, force it back to zero and see how it reacts.
how i forced my LTIT back to zero is i went into the scanner, while the engine is running, and lowered the timing...

some suggest it. i've looked at a file from a pro tuner around my parts and he set the Max PN/AC Off, Min PN/AC On and Filt PN/AC Off to zeros permanently.
which brings a question to mind. how long does the PCM stay in the cranking VE table? when does it switch to the main VE table to help control idle?
try using my method. i have my idle pretty good in the warmed up areas. just got to get the cold areas better.
if i am not mistaken, you set the first 6 areas under adaptive idle airflow to zero. here's a pic of that table

i just look at how far the STIT is making an adjustment and the add/subtract that from my current RAF. when the STIT is within +/- .30, i leave it there
you don't give it a bigger motor via the engine type selection. you only change the cylinder volume
switching back and forth should not cost because it's already paid for. (this is the part we discussed). i did ask about having my model/year open to unlimited, but don't remember what you said about...
exactly. if i have the ability to access an unlimited amount of a specific year/model, then it would be reasonable to assume, that i should be able to upgrade my car to RTT because i have that...
then unlimited liscenses aren't unlimited. not a huge deal. just means it's not part of the package is all.
so, i have to pay for your extra creativity.
hey bill, robert from PRI. remember us discussing this? now, what about switching back to normal and then back. can we, for sure, do this without...
i have 2000 f-body open (6 credits used) to unlimited. i went to change my car to RTT and it wants the one additional credit. if i have my car open to unlimited, then why should i need to pay to...
