GREAT thread and great help here - it's what I used to tune my Gen V for headers, cam, with DOD and VVT delete!
Love the choppy 900RPM idle, never stalls, WOT always 99.6% throttle and spark where I...
I just got back from camping, thank you both (Ghuggins and TriPinTaz) so much for all this info. I started with trying a stock VE/VVT version but all I can do is idle in the garage because it's...
That is awesome, always great when the smoking gun is found
Scoggin Dickey says the pumps have an electrical device (solenoid?) that fails to high pressure. I just did the same DOD delete on mine with Texas speed valley cover and what not, are you sure you...
BTW, I had a hard time doing a full write because the car kept going to sleep before the tune had fully written. It finally worked when I hit the 'start' button on the car as soon as it went to sleep...
man there's so much there but it helps me to see it. I still don't know what you mean when you say 'density' , I just know VVE (which is speed density I thought) and VT (torque).
I did read in...
thanks so much GHuggins, I'm going to try it and I've got some reading to do now before I post back. Again, thanks so much.
BTW, I could open the tune but not the log (please update your software)...
That someone is me :). I?m learning and really appreciate the insight. The tune is based heavily on a post that compiled changes made for cam and headers, really helpful. I?ve done other things trial...
Well I've changed all DFCO, TQ acc/dec stuff back to the tune I ran when I just had headers but still get the CEL for P015B,D (freeze frames always show 34.75 STFT).
I finally got the situation on a...
thanks so much for your insight, more to think about.
Your 1.5 turns is another relatable data point for me as mine are at 1.25 turns.
With the M8 rocker bolt with 1.25mm pitch and a 1.8 rocker...
I have searched, read, called and I only see one reference to the recommended preload for Caddy Race lifters which I installed with my CAM MOTION cam - 0.050" to 0.100" on the BTR website.
I read...
Man, great to know, thank you!
I'm pretty sure both my Virtual Torque and Virtual Volumetric Efficiency models are off (both are just calculated from stock based on diff in dyno numbers for stock...
glad to see your response.
Sounds really similar after my cam install with headers. 34.75% STFT shown on Freeze frames for CELs but otherwise rich cuz my airmodel needs adjusting. No rear O2s for me...
I'm not a tuner, just a learner with my own car.
I've learned alot from this board and this guy is really helpful
https://goatropegarage.com/
I zeroed out my cam tables at idle but I still see ~4 degrees cam position at idle sometimes.
I set all ECT correction multipliers to 1.
I can't find anything else in the tune that does not tell...
Does anyone know the bore and stroke of the stock LT1 HPFP?
I hope it's OK if I jump in with a question also because I'll soon install a cam with larger fuel lobes. (I know it's an old thread)
Fundamentally, the larger fuel lobe strokes the positive...
here's the tune and log
I'm not having success with System/Fans/Vehicle Speed Adjust - fan % logged seems to ignore it.
Any suggestions, right now I'm stumped?

That's the one I have coming too.
the cam tune just mimicks the valve overlap of old school big cams so no danger to the engine but you end up with lots of unburned fuel in the exhaust. Nobody ran cats back then so no issue but now...
Ethan,
I sold the car a couple of years ago and the specifics have just faded, I'm sorry.
Thank you sir!
