Hptuners does NOT work with the reflash given by the dealer for the 2003-2005 GM ecotec supercharger package.
You CAN use hptuner to make your own tune(which less than a handful have done).
...
this is really back from the dead,
but apparently there is a new calibration, to correct an idle problem.
Im gonna call tomorrow for more information. hopefully there is some news.
Also Alot...
john here is something for you.....do you have hptuners in your possesion?
Go out to your car.....plug it in....and then go to >help.....>vcmsuite info
then a lil window will pop up. make sure...
there may be hope but it may also be a pipe dream.
In helping Adam NGHK w/ the reflash for his car...there are different vci numbers unlike the 5-speed which is all the same.
so maybe the key...
you will have all kinds of trouble.....your best bet is to either stick w/ the reflash and enjoy
or
go back to stock and read up on "faking a 2 bar map"
and tune your own fuel curves and hope...
GM's definition of locked is different........and GM is nto going to endorse or help with programming codes, they dont let tha kinda thing out.
There isnt much else we can do except accept the...
also it sucks for those who licensed there cars before they got reflashed...so they cant do anything and have a waisted license unless they go back to stock.
basically what happened john is we...
i wanna pm too :)
But atleast give us an idea of how we can modify the fuel curve and the maps so we can basically copy it top our stock tunes and just do the fake 2 bar setup?
Thanks Chris...any kind of update would be awesome when you get one..........wheter it be good or bad......but hopefully good:pray:
ok chris well i found out today that all the vci numbers are the same for all 2003-2005 MANUAL TRANSMISSION j-body's(i have programmed 6 now and everytime i call i get the same vci...all 5-speeds)....
Guys here is my question?
Is this calibration supported by HPTuners? or not? there have been several people on the j-body.org who have bought the hptuners and are getting improper operating system...
no.............2 credits per car.......so
one cobalt = 2 credits
one 2.2 = 2 credits
the 2.4 eco isnt available yet...but as it stands you can tune 4 cars with the package.....consisting of 2 credits per car.......an you can buy more credits @ 49 a piece and you need 2.
assumptions are bad, facts are good.
the reason for the price jump is because you cant just upgrade, you need a new unit and part of the one you got becomes junk
they only go up to 6500 if i remeber correctly, thne its just base timing maps from there on up.
I hope you got aftermarket cams and valve springs cause they become obsolete over 7250rpm, no...
im gonna comment on the rotors too.........pretty
it was released............but it was the 2.0 not the 2.2
the 2.2 is real complicated due to the tcm? i think thats correct. but the update already came out.
Below are the major new features in...
damn...........4 day shipping to australia is fast
Is there a list of shops that use hptuners by state?
Just out of curiosity..liek if instead of buying the software you could just find a shop to do the modification? or even ask help w/ certain...
Yea thanks keith... i got my e-mail today
