100 hunnit percent right!
I had mine turned off when whilst trying to fault find a torque reduction issue. Mine wouldn't stall up over 2000rpm- and would clip the throttle momentarily if you mashed the pedal in 3rd gear from...
You can't lock tunes on Australian fords.
Yes, tune will fix it, or put the stock Cat back in.
Maybe something manifold related? The N/A has variable IMRC, the turbos had them taken out.
Although mine shows the 4 speed tables in with the 6 speed stuff- it still flashes. They just don't like taking a flash when the box oil is warm. Even if you haven't been thrashing them and they are...
I think most of the B series ZF's are like that. My O/S has those left over BTR tables in also. (Mines a 2005 BF1 Turbo ute)
That's not far off what my engine took around peak VE also. I built it 4-5 years so the only real thing available then was the Atomic cosworth pistons. I think the comp was around 8.5:1. Stock...
Cylinder head design/efficiency plays a large role also!
Although secondary knock monitoring is what I use. You could try taking timing out at that load/rpm or adding fuel. If the knock retard stays the same I'd be inclined to say it is false knock.
Rolls in this instance I believe it's Turbine shaft speed (specifically inside the torque converter)
Can you do a read and post the file? I'll take a look and let you know if I can think of anything.
No worries, let us know how it goes long term.
Thanks mate, Hopefully I'll be back at the track soon. Finally have some motivation/free time to finish retuning it. Couple highway pulls is all it needs.
Correct mate, it's not so much the actual port size, it's the short side radius that needs the most attention.
Hi,
Sorry I haven't done any FG's as I basically on do my own BF Ute. But definitely feasible that the mods you guys have done is far beyond the stock tunes capability I know in the early days...
Thanks Gents,
I have the ID1300s in mine and the cold start on mine is less than perfect. (only driven once or twice a month, permanently on E85) If I drove it more I probably would have spend a...
Today is one of those day I was glad I jumped on the forum for a quick look. Thanks for that little piece of information Turbotrana, I never new the high slope was used for cold start...
I double checked the 1200, it only has -6 return.
They run a patch loom for the twin pump....I wouldn't have thought the stock wiring would be up to the task for 2x pumps simultaneously? I'll check...
I will have to double check, I might have -6 return. It's been so long since I installed it. I just had in my memory that whatever size I wanted to go with I was limited by the physical size of the...
You could try enlarging the return port in the fuel pressure reg IN SMALL STEPS, and see if it drops the fuel pressure to 4 bar, but ideally, that is a band aid fix and you should be running an...
I addition to some good notes, it was worth it purely for meeting a few people. Building those relationships for me was important, we weren't treated like we were hacks or anything like. As you...
If you mean fitting cruise control on base models, you can fit the hardware to the steering wheel and brake pedal etc and enable via the pcm, I've only ever done it with the factory scan tool when I...
Never had that one before, good find. And thanks for posting the outcome.
I believe the adaptive learning is the issue, they can up to 1000kms to come good but personally, the ones I've built have come good after 200-300kms of driving depending on where the clearances are...
