Not sure what you are talking about. Do you mean your Jeep is back firing and you want to make it stop?
Florida law requires any vehicle being towed that weighs more than 3000# must have its own brakes and a break away device. Not worth the liability to tow without brakes.
Flat towing
I have been building up my Jeep Wrangler for about 5 years. It is now to the point that driving it on the highway is very uncomfortable (35" mud tires and 4.88 gears). I recently bought a Ram Rebel...
I have been visiting a web site for many years. He does no advertising but does a great job at updating it every day. He features all kinds of stuff but today he is featuring my car (and PH Tuners)....
Check out his thread (I really do not feel like posting all those pics again).

About 5 years ago I developed this spreadsheet. The first tab has instructions. I left in data from one of my "runs" to show what it looks like. This was my V6 Firebird and it dynoed at 322 RWHP(Cam,...
Try this.
This also happened when I first read my Bin. I waited 15 minutes and all was fine. I have since done a few writes and all is fine.
I ran a tank of 93 Octane and the knock went away. This indicates it is real knock. I would not reduce sensitivity to try and fix this problem. I am going to wait until I finish the tank of 93, put...
I am going to fill up with 93 octane tommorrow and see what that does. I think I will leave the DOD off while I figure this out. Then match to DOD tables to the standard tables the re-activate.
Here is an interesting development. I turned off DOD and the Knock retard was identical.
One thing I noticed was that my G8 seems to call for a lot of spark advance in the cuise cells. I am...
I think we are on our own.
I am going to run a tank of 93 octane to see if it is real knock (if it goes away, it is real knock). Then I plan on reducing the spark advance in the DOD spark tables....
It is still stock and I have not hooked up my WBO2 yet..
Luckily, there are 4 main spark tables. High/Low and High DOD/Low DOD. I should be able to modify the spark tables to eliminate the DOD...
On my 2008 G8 GT, I noticed that I am getting a lot of Knock Retard while the DOD (Displacment on Demand) is active. Check out the attached log file.
Though knock retard in DOD is not a bad thing...
The G8 is now an option but I searched and the only G8 is listed under the G6?????? I would really like to get a look at the bin with all the TSBs. I will upload my stock file when I get home.
Check out this thread at G8Board.com. Lots of technical stuff that is way over my head.

The VIM (Vehicle in Motion) signal that tells the Video display to turn off at 5 mph is a pain in the a**. I would like to display GPS map info but it doesn't do any good if it shuts off at 5mph. If...
Oh wait, I figured it out. Look at the pictures. With this fan and a 150 shot of Nitrous, you will see gains in excess of 100 hp.
I added a bung into the exhaust behind my X-Pipe where the H-Pipe use to be. I had no cats so I got good readings. I then drilled a hole in the right side compartment under the read deck and put the...
Great, I will give it a try.
I went back out and it was fine. Thanks for the input.
Finally, on a side note, check this out.

A few weeks ago I traded in my 2003 Vette in on a 2008 Pontiac G8 GT. Though I miss my Vette (traded in due to spousal pressure), I am very happy with my new car. One thing I have been playing with...
