I have been wondering this for some time as well. I've always just done a general scaling of the maf tables to get my trims slightly negative but then its not a perfect calibration.

ttt, curious on this as well.
That looks really aggressive! Did you get major kr?
Get the AFR nailed down first, then work on spark.
ttt.
Works great guys! Nice work!! ;D
Sorry for the dumb question, but what do i use to open the file. It says its of type 'file' and the editor won't open it.
Right when I first start it its fine for a few seconds then it starts doing the minor surging until it hits closed loop. I have my olfa reduced to something like 1.13 in the areas where its doing it...
Well, I guess in hpt its called something else. Go to the idle tab, then Idle Airflow, and its called base running airflow.
Try reducing it by like .5 or 1 and see if it helps. What are your current values?
Cruise control effect is often from having too much idle air. Try reducing the raf and see if that helps.
Hey guys. I was wondering what the general consensus was to cure a surging problem on cold starts. Is it mostly in the ve table, raf, iac effective area, or timing department? thanks
Well, the weeks half over....we must be getting REALLY close! ;D
Have you scaled your injector tables correctly?
any updates on this??
Sounds like we are getting closer........
From the looks of things you could stand to add some timing. 21.5 deg isn't much....try to get that up to 25-28 or so.
I agree. That was a little misleading. Here we are almost to August and still no 2.0.
Is the detonation at part throttle or wot? I'd back off the timing for sure in any areas where you're getting detonation. Also try giving it some more fuel if its in pe mode.
Can we get a rough estimate of release date. Like will it be June, July, or even August???
I don't think there is learning going on during wot although I'm sure if there is kr that it will start sliding towards the low octane spark table.
Are we there yet???
You can try to bump up the timing a little if you can stay away from detonation.
Yes, 98s use the PE table as well. If you don't have acces to a WB sensor just lean it out until the 02 mV's read around 900. This should get you pretty close. A WB is always best though to insure...
Yeah. It says May 2X. Can't remember the exact date but I know its may. They had a deal going for awhile when the 98 version was released where we got one full year of updates instead of 6 months.
