Would the adaptive spark control cause the timing to jump around alot at idle?? At idle I am not seeing a steady timing count, it jumps around alot.
Cam is not huge 224/230 .585ish lift 14+2 LSA.

Can you explain a little about these transient fuel tables, I dont really follow what they are.
Its a little rich (14.2ish), I believe the OLFA is what is doing that. Its commanding 14.6 but actual fueling is on the rich side. Does the OLFA table control commanded fueling or is it kind of a...
Cold start is when it surges at idle.
What are these transient tables you are refering to?? I to have noticed the lean tip ins and I just figured it was a problem with the VE table.
So now that my VE is roughed in I should go ahead...
I have got my VE table tuned within -2 to 2, AFR is pretty stable when driving but yet me VE table is not smooth at all. What causes this?? I tried using the smooth tool but it messed up my AFR %...
I also noticed that today it did at as soon as I started the truck but went away after it warmed up??
Your wideband is not setup correctly, its stuck on 12.06.
Why is the car running so hot???
I am having a surging issue but it isnt the normal just at idle. At idle it runs nice and smooth but anything off idle (cruising around parking lot) it will surge or at the track after the burnout it...
ARRRGGG just searched and found that I DO need to copy and paste after adjusting a table.
All well it only took 4 scans to get it within 1-2% so it shouldnt take to long:doh:
On a side note...
I just did some tuning to my VE table using AFR % error with the 1 bar RTT SD OS.
I just assumed that any changes that were made in the RTT session would be saved to the actual file, is that not...
Yep I put the stocker back in and everything works great. I sent off the converter to Fuddle and he said it was a little to tight and since it was one of the first 4l80e converters he offers there...
Nope no codes.
Pretty sure its in the TC right??
If so I am going to pull it out tomorrow and put the stocker back in.
Thanks
-Chris
I would guess its in the TC since thats the only change I have made. Shit I guess ill have to pull it and send it back to them.
Ill give them a call tomorrow and see what they have to say.
Thanks...
Well I tried that tune and it didnt do much.
Now I can hear a humming sound that sounds like its coming from the TC at low rpm's.
In park its showing like 257% slip.
At First it was demanding...
Thanks, ill try that tune.
I do tow about once every two months, towing a 5500lbs load for about 3-6 hours.
Tires are 285/75/16's.

I just installed a 2700 Fuddle converter in my 4l80E and it doesnt seem to want to lock up all the way. When it "locks" it only drops the RPM's by 100rpm or so. I believe its slipping or something.

Ahh crap I remebered doing all that so I looked at my posted tune and its not done. I think I forgot to save it before I wrote the tune.:banghead:
Anyways ill do it all and hopefully ill make...
Great thanks, ill give it a try tomorrow:cheers:
Ok so when in open loop I shouldnt be getting any LTFT or STFT readings correct??
What about the narrowband O2's?? Are they just showing the signal just like the MAF when it is disabled??
...
When I am in open loop will that automatically disable the fuel trims??
Thanks for the help:)
I am trying to get this pig tuned.
I set the maf freq. to 0, and copied the high oct. to the low oct. tables.
I also disabled the LTFT's and STFT's. One problem is with this I get no LTFT's...
Well I figured out the problem.....bad USB cable:mad:
Had a spare cable and just tried it for giggles, and it worked!!
Step 1 in these directions (1) If FTDI A,B are seen and not HP Tuners MPVI Channel A, B, right click on FTDI A and uninstall. Do the same for FTDI B.
I dont even see FTDI A,B.
To find them I...
