Wait......you took off the emissions equipment BEFORE you tuned the ECM?
Your ECM is bricked and will need to be replaced. It cannot be recovered even with dealer software.
Deleting any emission device is illegal.
Resync your device and check to make sure it has not been disabled.
Change vane position at idle
You will need WinOLS with XDF Plugin, TunerPro and the A2L for the OS you want to create the XDF for.

Does it give you a checksum error after reading? That usually causes this to happen. What version of VCM are you using?
You can't read the L5P ECM. HPT will only supply you with a virtual read.
It can be the stable version
You're not going to be able to delete anything with VCM Editor right off the shelf. PM me and I can help you with it.

He will still need to license the file since they are also tied to the ECM serial number

sounds like you flashed the wrong OS
