Did a download attempt today, all good. Changed the idle speed and fan temps and the idle is as expected, fan temp... too cold to see that kick on.

Roger that thanks.
Had a thought since there is so much doubt on the JTEC tuning & what works, would it make sense to have a thread with the known supported JTEC calibrations? Mine = 56029352AC...
Evil your's is a 5.9 right? Which year?
I will go ahead and give mine a shot with the backup ECU, 2002 federal 4.7 jtec
Went to the wrecking yard yesterday looking for a few parts for the Dak, no longer needing another ECU it was not on my radar. But... out of curiosity from the last time I went looking for one and...
ah yes on SN... meant VIN number.
@putts000 what year vehicle and engine do you have?
I have been keeping an eye on the forums here RE the JTEC+ tuning... I have a 2002 Dak 4.7 I want to tune, last time I attempted it 2 years ago using the MVPI2+ it erased the ECU and then did...
No the tube is not open on the end, it is sort of like a Helmholtz resonator attached to the port.
ECU is still reporting freeze frame data but no CE code or pending code. Have approx 450 miles...
An update... it appears the length of the added tube(s) affect the misfire on #7. I went back to no tube and still had the misfire and it appeared more frequently as seen by the freeze frame data....
Freezeframe data says it is occurring at 127* CT & 900 or so rpms... I pulled the pvc mod off prior to leaving for this trip, will see how the code does for a couple of weeks. I appears to me that...
No logs, I have not had the bandwidth to go get them... heading out on business trip next week and will make it a priority when I get back.
It tossed code with tube, and thinking about it, should go back to no tube and repeat to see if code comes back now that I know what I know...
Normal daily driving there is no code. Will post up...
AFR in cylinder makes sense... with what your saying running a higher octane fuel should not change anything, assuming the scenario you mentioned is what is happening under those conditions that set...
I will email them (Air Ram). I bet that 2000 dak you had was fun... being a truck guy, I have thought of trying to locate a RC 4wd 5spd truck to shift over to from the QC truck I have now (which is...
Whoops... forgot to mention, new plugs recent coil packs and injectors. The only time the mis-fire occurs is when on it hard and it is always cylinder #7. This problem never shows itself when I...
Have a 2002 Dodge Dakota with a 4.7 engine using the JTEC controller, still on the stock tune and am waiting for the mods to be done before tuning.
What I have done...
70mm TB
Airaid...
Swapped the pump, fuel was leaking from the top seal on the pump plus the pump was weak. Now, no more CE light or codes. On the jeep, I have reduced the 1.5" cylinder down to 9" and it works better...
I followed the instructions outlined on one of the forums for TB cal... iirc it was as simple as turn key on, wait unti lights go off on dash, then slowly depress and release the throttle, then its...
@Mr.T Did more work on the intake manifold mod with the tube on the vacuum booster line, what I have learned... the 12" tube gave great mpg's on the hiway but horrible in town (most of her...
and to followup...mpg's came in at 15.3 mpg, as expected power jumps with cold fuel in the tank. Going to take a step back with the mod, wrap the fuel rail and lower manifold if possible w/o...
I did the mod to the wifes Jeep Jk Wrangler over the weekend... did not feel anything close to what the Dakota showed. Installed a 12" section T'd off the brake booster line. She has been hand...
I will post up some feedback once its in.
Thanks for posting up the process... Looks like it was coincidental to adding the tube, found the large leak yesterday while filling up, nice puddle of fuel under the tank when the tank is full. I...
The large EVAP leak came with the pipes off the IM.
On the IM capacity... adding a 1 1/2" by 9" pipe to the brake booster hose. I suspect the MAP is being monitored for its ramp rate as the...
@Mr.T I have yet to drop in the 1st tune on the wifes JK, bandwidth is not allowing for it if it goes down for any reason. But... I did pop on a 2008+ 4.7L TB on it and was quite surprised by the...
Been tuning my truck since 2016 but have never dipped my toe into the boost timing correction. Never really felt the need to up until recently. I did some mods to my intake side pre-turbo and those...
