You can pull the shifter to 3 or 2 or 1 for quick pulls back to back to build data, Also in the scanner special features, you can lock gear. That's how I like to do it.
I always save the stock tune somewhere safe, make a copy of it. Name it "tune rev1" for revision 1 and go from there. You can name it stocktune1, tune1, ect. Whatever works for you.
