My son and I installed an 01 Z06 Cam in his RCSB about 10 yrs ago...he decided to upgrade to a new car a few years ago and I elected to keep the truck - an '03 RCSB 4.8/NV3500. Not too many...
+1 Incredible engine, love mine!
TY - I was looking at the crank relearn scan and those codes don't show up...odd. They are there on the startup where the car was violently backfiring. Going to swap #7 coil and determine issue...
Latest Logs and Tune File
Apologies, I let the scanner gather the available PIDs and deleted anything that was grayed out. I will re-add manually and see if there is simply no data being reported. My question should have...
What would cause this? TY for the reply.
Trying to help a buddy with an LS swap '57 Chevy.

Car refuses to idle and still backfires. I logged misfires by cylinder and see a large number on #7 and some on...

Kinda same here...compared the 93 Firm shift on my L83 truck, pretty simple changes.
Just the questions I wanted to ask...I'm using the High Octane Spark tables from a Canned Tune I bought. Is the added timing in the Alcohol table too much? Is this where most people get the added...
Apologies if bumping an old thread.
I'm in the process of enabling e85 sensor and adding the correct parameters on an L83 Non-Flex Fuel Sierra.
In comparing a stock Flex Fuel tune, two things...
Less timing and tr6 plugs at a high level
Results? My buddy and I tuned his 2010 Sierra 5.3 this past weekend and I could only get 18* timing advance without KR in the main tables. The VCP was zeroed out. Anything past 18 caused audible...
If you want FI, do that with Meth, no reason without.
You could probably fill it with E85 and get the same gains and get your E85 tables tuned for max use of the fuel. <Flame Suit On>

Mike at Gforce shared the same thing with me on my 09 CTS-v
Roll into it to avoid burst knock.
I say drop some 100 unleaded race gas and see if it improves.
You might try performancetrucks.net on this, lots of FI discussion there.
My 4.8 with a cam is probably at 6x% at 12.5 AFR.
You will need way more fuel moving at much air would be my expectation.
Please post tune and logs if you have one. Thnx
Pm sent thnx!
