The easiest place to start with the CAI is to get the MAF Transfer function from whoever makes the intake. I've yet to talk to a manufacturer that won't release the MAF to you..then just tweak it...
Just out of curiosity..anyone read any of the Ford Racing or other aftermarket PCM updates like Steeda or Roush? Just kinda curious how they stack up.
the Borderline knock.. is this the absolute limit that the PCM can advance the spark to, or is it just the limit of the base spark value that can still be modified upwards by things like knock...
Ahhh... very cool. Thanks Chris.
Cylair WOT Multiplier Is very obviously for WOT, and I am going to assume ONLY for WOT. I am guessing that the Cylair Max Multiplier is going to be the one...
So for grins, we used a friend of mines SCT x2 to flash my car, and then downloaded it to compare it the stock file, just to see what kinds of changes it made. Nothing was super surprising, but I...
Check Ebay. Mine is a P III 950, 768 MB ram, 15 gig HD. IBM Thinkpad. got it on ebay for $250. It was an office lease. needs a new battery (only lasts ~ 15 minutes) but with an inverter in the...
I don't think thats what he is getting at. I think he was more saying to leave the TM alone until you have the pressures dialed in and your sure the mechanicals of the trans will take what your...
PE is Power Enrichment. Basically, your Commanded AFR at WOT.
AS for the Mac Throttle, 82 is the max on the mustangs. I don't think it's truely throttle angle per-say, so much as a throttle...
Yupyup. Take the value in the table and Multiply it by that.
Russ,
I thought I read somewhere that Ford figured Lambda at 14.64.. not sure why. Is this not the case?
The best tip I have recieved...
Disable the P0605, P0606 and P1000 Codes.
There are no High and low octaine tables. Its done quite differently with the ford. They do it thru an adder that adds timing in the absence of knock. It's on the spark tab, in with the knock...
Ok.. just tried to make changes to the "Checksum" file and it was the same result. Also, I tried to make a couple of the changes that the checksum file had done to it to the stock file and it also...
I just checked, and I have the same issue with the MBT table. No codes, just instant wrench light, even before you start the car. Car will start, but goes instantly to limp mode soon as you touch...
Follower mode still trips a wrench light with these disabled...
Just noticed that when I open the complete history on my Mustang, anything that is supposed to display a value (i.e. Gear ratio or RPM limit) that I have changed, I get a number that is 11 digits...
I think I may have figured this out... to some extent. I think that the problem is that you have to modify both the ETC effective area vs throttle angle vs Vacuum AND the ETC Predicted Throttle...
It's kind of funny you mention this... I just noticed that the PCM thinks I have 3.31 gears, but according to the stamping on my rear housing I have 3.55's (which is what I ordered the car with),...
I assume to the support address, Bill?
It very well could be. Makes sense that since there is no MAP sensor or VE table, that MAf voltage could be monitored and manipulated with a couple other parameters to get a calculated load...

A couple of things I am having trouble figuring out. It may well be that I just haven't slept in 36 hours and am missing a couple of obvious things, but I am gonna ask anyway... :banghead:
1. ...
...not specific to Ultimate... 64 bit Home Premium and it won't see the MPVI either...
Wow... looks like I've decided to order my 07 GT at the exact right time :D
I was the exact opposite bro. Was at work on July 4th until about 11 pm. I could hear the fireworks from my desk tho, and ya know, thats about the same as seeing them.... Gotta love...
The timing isn't the whole buritto on this one. The other half of the equation was that your AFR's were 1/2 a point richer or better with the extra timing... which says to me that you might be...
