I tuned to 14.7 at cruise... and 12.2 at PE
When I unplug the computer PCM goes down by about 1 AFR.
Interesting question... I grounded it to the accessory power. I could check PCM ground to accessory power and see if there is a load there.
I bet when the MVPI & Laptop are plugged in it's tieing...
No, I am using a wideband. It was tuned with a wideband and I am logging with a wideband. STFT are giving me 14 AFR instead of 14.7 AFR when I unplug the MVPI and I cannot figure out why. I plug back...
I swapped in the L59 / Flex Fuel injectors into my LQ9 build. Assuming that's what they did with the 5.3L... The LM7 & LQ9 have same 24# injectors (Don't know of 22# Gen III SBC injectors) so if you...
Haven't read all the way through. I flashed a PCM with a new tune was dirt cheap as the P01 and P59 PCMs are a dime a dozen. You have to build a cable (YouTube it) and use PCM hammer. Do it on the...
I have a MVPI Pro, is that what you mean by Pro Feature set?
What did you say you were tuning?
You can only do some pretty basic stuff with fuel trims / narrow band but really to use a wideband...
I hand smooth the boundaries... Kind imagine the curve extending out to those regions and adjust by hand on the graph. Then smooth with the vertical and horizontal smoothing functions. It'll get...
Maybe this is what you mean by idle base setup? If not. maybe...
You need to calibrate your IAC. I'm not exactly sure how to do that on the electronic throttle which you have. It's a bit different...
Maybe is just a coincidence? I am running 1 Bar RTOS tuned Speed Density. When I finished up my fuel adjustments I reenabled closed loop. I left the WB O2 hooked up so I could monitor things. I...
Thanks!
Very helpful. Thanks for sharing your tune file!
Okay so I desensitized my knock sensor settings by copying the less sensitive LQ9 settings for starters. Tune attached.
I left burst knock enabled. I noticed it wasn't logging any burst knock....
Thanks! I found the upload button
Log file where pulled timing: 139265
Tune to richen fuel / test for false knock: 139264
C5 Corvette Tune: 139266
Baseline LQ9 tune from Escalade:...
This is driving me nuts. No matter what I click I cannot figure out how to attach something to the post. This image below are the buttons it gives me.
On post #5 I thought maybe I could upload via...
Thanks for details... There's no adverse affects when it's zeroed out?
Tune is posted in #5 above.
Thanks! Out of curiosity, I've been reading up on Burst Knock. It says Delta cylinder air vrs RPM in the tune. However, over what time base / slope? My setting is 0.020 (grams?) across the board /...
Thanks @Fast4.7... is that a blanket statement or did you see my tune file too?
I've been wondering about what you said. I'd think for sure that's timing, however, I'm running a VERY conservative...
I guess that worked go figure.
Thanks Alvin I hear you on the URL it's my Google drive.
I don't know how how to attach anything here. I think I can in original post if it's one or two files? I have an entire evening of tuning...
Thanks, @Alvin in the folder (link in opening post) tunes starting with #11 (worst knock retard) and #12 (tested run w/ more fuel).
I have a modified and professionally tuned C5 Corvette. I cannot...
My build specs are listed at bottom incase they are needed. After a long ordeal I've got a functioning Wideband setup. The factory didn't use PE for the truck (it comes on at 90% TPS). I went ahead...
I got more figured out... Taking lots of handholding from a tuner friend. Can only rely on the narrow bands for cruise and idle. Here's what I learned...
The truck engines / VE tables are in...
This doesn't make since to me. There's barely enough resolution in metering system to get that kind of accuracy out of the fueling down low. At lower power & RPM in the VE table one point of...
That's what I'd thought! If I turn off STFT then I cannot collect the STFT to adjust VE table. Tried Wideband for part throttle before it was terrible. Results were worse with LTFT as they seem to be...
So disable the STFT as well?
Confused, if I turn of STFT won't the readings be turned off too? I don't know exactly how this works.
