I'm in St. Augustine Florida and might know something about tuning a Jbody.
I recommend running the 1 bar map sensor on the M62 in a Ecotec Cavalier.
A factory 2.4 does have a balanced shaft setup. But to get a 2.7 stroker you are not using that setup It is a combo of 2.4 and 2.3 parts.
I'm saying this is a engine build/builder problem.
It is supported.
I'm not new to tuning Jbody ECU's. I have just been messing with my M45 cavalier tune lately. noticed that above 100 the command starts dropping from my set 12.0 command.
Right at 100mph it drops...
Yes you can run a supercharger on a cavalier ECU and L61. I have tuned many. I have also tuned turboed L61 to 405whp on a stock motor.
Yes that ECU can be tuned to run boost.
I have tuned a stock Alpha-N ECU to 405whp on a stock L61 with boost.
I own a LNF HHR SS that I really haven't done anything to yet. My play toy is a 2001 cavalier Z24 with a small M45 that I'm over-spinning. I have been running that setup for a long time. I'm using...
Yes you could. As you stated you will loose some gauge functions.
Far from it. They make headers for your car and they have gains.
I would not use a jbody ECU for this. Should be much better options. These ecu's are way more limited than a GM V8 ECU.
In normal driving the ECU commands 14.6. This can't be changed, but is perfectly safe. Once you go WOT (floor it) the ECU goes into PE (power enrichment) which runs off the tune. This part is what...
You can turn off the auto codes with hpt. Might even be able to make it a manual by a simple switch of one table in the tyranny section.
Have you done any VE tuning, or just changed numbers?
After changing your constant and AFR target, multipliers etc.. you should do a lot of datalogging to tune the VE.
I do not see anything in the tune other than the speed limiter that could be holding you back.
Questions:
What injectors, what are the duty cycle when this happens?
What gear?
42's would be ok to 8-10 psi. If it was me I would go with 60's because it leaves room.
Good job Speed!
I will say I find it hard to believe no misfire's are showing if your getting a code.
I have had a ghost misfire but it showed it, even when the car ran perfect.
This is wha I'm talking about when I say mtx http://www.innovatemotorsports.com/products/MTXL.php
This is a LM-2, completely different

I like innovative products. I would go with a LC-1, or MTX.
He is a Quad motor.
I would recommend reaching out to Brian aka Speedracer from the org.
Without watching the air fuel it is hard to say, but my guess is the timing is all over because the fueling is off. Get the idle fueling right timing will settle down and idle better.
The 2 bar fake is for when you running ALpha-N, and truly your only faking your self in doing that.
Get a 2 bar map sensor, you will thank yourself later for it.
Yes then you flash the GM reflash to your car. You will then need to set that file up for your car. injectors etc.. Also that reflash is setup to work with a 2 bar map sensor. Stock we have a one bar...
You can have the GM reflash loaded on your car by 1 of 2 ways.
1. Have a GM dealer load it on your car (since you do not have the GM charger you could have a hard time with this), if you have a...
No, no, no, no.
A stock jbody is alpha-n, gm ld9 reflash is speed density. Copy over will not work.
What year is your car?
