are the VE tuning steps the same as for previous generations? Also- what PIDs would I want to look at for VVT/ VE tuning?

2011 Red CC 6.2 6L80E. Been fighting with this alot because everytime I change something, no matter how little or what; even just upping the speed limiter I get an SES light. Flash to original tune...

Hey guys- anything I do tuning, even just upping the speed limmiter I get the SES light. Flash it back to original and all is AOK. Anyone have an idea?
