its been a long time but I think I removed my win 7 x64 new version of framework then installed hp tuners, then installed the new framework back on and it worked.

sometimes you have to remove the old nonworking wrong drivers first
it would be in control panel > device manager

EVERY freaking time I install hptuners on a computer I ALWAYS have to come to this thread for the drivers (thanks) or else its not gonna work!
It always takes a good 3+ minutes to find the thread....
