Hey Dan, try removing way more timing then the pcm is pulling in those areas you're getting KR. See if you still get any. It's seems to me the the KR is always right around 1800-2100ish RPMS. That's...

Bump......
All I ever hear about is the 0411 pcm swap (0411 is the last 4 numbers in the SERV. NO. on the PCM)on our trucks. I believe we s-series 4.3 nuts got the idea from the V8 Vortec guys. From what I...
Wow I didn't know they were still putting 4.3s in trucks. Cool.
I don't know how different the PCM is in a 2010. But the ls1 pcms are different then my 98 4.3 Jimmy's PCM and I found this right up...
Nobody?
Man that's good to know! I've been doing one row at a time....:o
OP, I'm tuning my VE tables in SD mode in my 98 Vortec truck right now. I read every how to and stick about how to do it I can...
Thanks for the reply.
I ended up leaving transient fueling alone for now. My VE tuning is going well. I was doing something wrong before. I was forgetting to change my secondary ve table to match...
The transient stuff is killing my brain....
I'm tuning a 98 GM truck that used to have the poppet GM injectors. Now it has a real MPFI intake with larger injectors. Plenum volume has increased and...
I have another question. :) I read many say tuning transient fuel should come after VE/MAF tuning. But what if transient fuels is so of that it messes with the AFR error percentages?
I'm tuning a...
I have a few questions. Right now I am trying to tune VE with AFR error. I have it in open loop at all times. So STFT/LTFT aren't logging at all, That's fine right? Also my AFR error is way off. Most...
I sent my stock 24# marine injectors that came with the 4.3L marine intake off to be upgraded. I read about a guy (Jon) at Fuel Injector Connection (FIC). http://fuelinjectorconnection.com/shop/ that...
Cool thanks.
Thanks for the reply. I just figured out to log AFR% Error with the standard interface.
I guess I'm just going to use the injector info that gets me the closest and move on.
Thanks again.
How far away should the nozzle be from the IAT sensor. My intake from my blower to my bonnet is pretty short. I have maybe a foot and a half on intake piping after the blower to the TB. I was...
I have a 98 GMC Jimmy 4.3L 2wd auto. Right now I'm running 6psi with a S/C.
With my stock fuel system the IDCs were at 127% at times. So I sought a means for more fuel since the stock system was...
I had it zeroed out in just the trans section for awhile. Then I found out that the TM under engine was the main table. So I zeroed that out too. :)
EDIT: Damn.... over a year old post...:o
I thought PN 12615136 was a 2bar cobalt sensor. The old PN was GM PN 12580698. Seems like that's the one all you boosted f-body guys use....
I was just looking at a log I took last night and was wondering WTH the timing dip was. After I read this it dawned on me. I drove around night turning my A/C on and off watching the timing drop.
...
That would be better for him since he's running 14 psi right? He'd be close to maxing out a 2bar wouldn't he?
I'm not 100% sure but I believe you can use a 05 cobalt ss map/baro sensor.
1 bar. Which = 14.5 PSI. 14.5 psi is the average atmospheric pressure at sea level. The 1 bar map won't read boost. So you'll need a 2bar map to read 14 psi of boost.
I was thinking that but I'm to noobish to be sure of anything still...:o
I'm having a problem here. I don't see anything under spark control that is specific to WOT timing. Maybe this is another of the options I don't have with my black box PCM? You think since I had just...
DOJ, I will gladly take one of those off your hands. I'll PM you over on the planet and we can work out a deal.
Thank you very much Russ! I'm going to make those changes to my file right now and...
I have just a few questions I'm wondering about. While I've been tuning in SD mode when accelerate my AFR peg lean. The truck acts like it wants to stall. But then it's fine and the AF got to stoich....
