I have not figured it out yet. Next step will be pulling the PCM back out and measuring the voltage from the WB at the PCM pins. That is a long-shot, as I checked them as I put it together, but...
Well, driving techniques can have a significant effect, depending on the tune.
My Cobalt went from averaging 21.1 to over 24MPG when I tried to drive for economy. It took a couple of weeks to...
I don't have that option (see attached).
Also, my PCM is 12583660 (HW) and 12586242 (Service). This is the same as the Holden VZ.
From GM High-Tech Performance:
The service codes for '03-'07...
Please don't mention those 'tards (Tornado), they will probably use your post as an expert recommendation. Luckily, they are probably off working on their perpetual motion, cold fusion and fuel...
Sorry, to be more specific, the EGR volts always reads 0.
I inserted it into the Table Display, using PID List -> Engine -> Emissions -> EGR Position (V)
I see only zero in the table and chart...
Thanks for clearing that up and also pointing out that the data needs to be adjusted.
Bill,
Does that mean VCM Editor automatically does step 8 now? (since I didn't fill in above 105kpa)
Thanks,
Frank
I actually read the help file (and there was not a knock on my door from someone coming to collect my masculinity :) ) and followed the application...
I have followed this thread and several others discussing WB through EGR and carefully researched my PCM.
I fired it up and it doesn't work, but the faux narrow-band signal is working, so the LC-1...
I don't understand. You mean that the steel in the exhaust pipes trap fumes in its matrix? If we fill the exhaust pipes with fresh air, these fumes percolate out of the steel? What time frame are...
I didn't see this anywhere, so forgive me if this is an old idea.
I noticed that the widebands (like my new LC-1) want you to crawl under the car and remove them for a free-air calibration every...
So, the WB EGR input wasn't working either, but I didn't mention it as I saw that on SIKHABIB's post, he had to enable the EGR in Engine -> General tab. I had not done that.
I see I do not have...
So, here is the deal, I hooked up my spanking new LC-1 and replaced the passenger-side NBO2 with the WBO2. I wired it to my unused EGR input. Everything done by the book.
Calibration went fine,...
Thanks again for the great help. :worship: I won't be able to tune again until the weekend, my wife is driving it to work this week.
I figured CARB/EPA was just ignoring this whole "tuning...
Good point!
Well, I was extrapolating that the VCM is designed and tested to be, pretty much, bullet-proof and the algorithms are pretty sophisticated, so therefor the VCM as a boost controller...
Arrghh! My eyes!!! It hurts! :D
Could they make it any more obnoxious looking? That thing makes Chris Bangle's work at BMW look (almost) asthetic.
How about this:
Is there a boosted...
Thank you! Very helpful. My questions/comments below:
I am learning a lot, in a very short time. This is so much more complex than TunerCat. I am just happy to not have damaged anything...
Well, I have searched all over the forum and can't find an answer. Point me to a thread if this has been answered before.
I am adding a rear-mount turbo (60-1 .6/.7AR) to my 2004 SSr 5.3L (LM4). ...
Anyone care to take a look and tell me if I have anything grossly wrong? I tuned it for economy for the most part, using some of the posted transmission settings from a Silverado. Then I attempted...
For anyone having similar issues, I noticed my '04 SSr 5.3L (LM4) is setup for remote starting, but I do not believe it was an option on these vehicles.
Anyway, you can turn the key and release...
