I appreciate it jaydubb71. I'll see what the dealership says about it here locally otherwise I talked to Speartech and they said they could do it but recommended to use an 09 ECU for better...
I'm in Des Moines, Iowa. I called our local speed shop who also owns a Chevy dealer and I don't think they have done this type of thing. They said they could order a bench harness to reprogram.
What is the easiest way to get the programming done for a swap then. If I do it locally do I have to get it in the truck and wired up or can bring in just parts? Any place I can just send it to?
Ok thanks guys. At one time I had the trans that came with it but figured it was easier to sell it since it was a 4x4 but should have kept it and converted it to 2wd I guess
Ok so just to verify. If they both came from 09 Silverados just different ones it would still require programming beyond HP Tuners?
Thanks for the responses guys. If I was was to get another e38 from a different 09 Silverado would it be possible to just use HP Tuners on them and skip the dealership programming or is that...
So I have an 07 L92 from and Escalade I'm looking to swap to a C10. I have found a 2wd 6L90e locally but is from an 09 Silverado. Is there any chance I reprogram the E38 to an 09 to work with the...
Ok thanks. I said it wrong about the segment swap. If I found an 09 e38 would I have to do anything else? Is there anything better software wise for the 09 vs 07?
I have an 07 L92 with it's ECM and looking at an 09 6L90e. Are those compatible for a segment swap or too far apart? I thought 07-09 is good, then 10 and up or am I mistaken.
