Is there any future plans to provide tuning support for late model 3.5s in camry's, avalon's etc?
Attached is a CTS-V file that is a bolt on car with the DSX sensor kit. I don't have any logs but this car was around 74% content at the time of tuning. This is one I ended up playing with the MAF...
I'm just trying to get my bearings together here and have a fueling adjustment question I cant find by searching. I am specifically asking about E38's.
I have a good handle of getting the flex...
Pretty burnt out on this one but ill try and put as much effort into the explanation as i can stand to.
Basics: 02 Camaro, Thompson built short block (forged 5.3) with 241 ported heads, BTR cam,...
Had this truck brought to me for a tune and the thing was a hot mess mechanically as well as the calibration...
So i get to tuning this thing, the MAF is BEFORE the BOV so i had to turn it off and...
Figured it out. Gotta copy and past to all 4 tables on left drop box... durrr
All,
In particular my 2007 Suburban with a 5.3, but several other Gen IV's i've tried the new VVE feature in 3.0 and it doesn't appear to do jack shit for changes?
The VE table i can load, and...
All,
A search yielded some complaining of this issue and use of the bi-directional controls works for the dyno.
The issue is, i should be able to lock this thing into a gear i command and floor...
So i logged alot of the source stuff today, hard to make out what all of it really means though... and the driver demand table is still fubar. It claims to be comparing TPS % vs MPH but it has what...
Snowvette, yeah it does seem more consistent if i roll into it. Another odd thing is too if it feels like a turd i simply let off the gas entirely then get back on it again and it feels like a...
Yes i have HP Tuners. Its stock other than a injen CAI. The surging is one of the small issues that it doesnt do all the time, it just seems really flat at times other than 60-70 degrees ambient then...
Has anyone kinda figured how to take the inconsistency day to day out of these driver demand based turbo creatures? I mean mine runs its strongest between 60-70 degrees F ambient and anywhere else...
So guess what, i just went out the car and looked, and it is a genuine GM map sensor in it... problem is that it has a "886" stamped into it, meaning it is Indeed a 2 bar! FML
Thanks for the help...
Well there is no decal or part # on this one that i can see. it was in 2009 this map sensor went into it. So i guess maybe thats the first step is finding a known good 3 bar to try in it.
Maybe...
Working on a '02 F body converted over the a 3 bar OS a long time ago.
Problem is that the KPA being reported to the PCM and being seen thru the scanner PID is nowhere close to the actual "gauge...
Nice work man! thats falls in line with that 2003 SS i just delbt with, it would do the false starts and farted around with that stage 1 mult up and down till i found the sweet spot and now lights...
Good deal! Thanks for being another contributing part to helping sort this odd issue out!
Its a TH350 MVB behind it, so its up to the driver when the shifts happen, just happened to be the same PCM running the 5.3 that it came with from the factory and of course is a 4L60E.
Got a copy of the tune you can post? And no its still working good! I havent tackled the stock fuel system 2001 416 truck head on yet. But got 2 of the 4 working correctly so far.
For purely shits...
Good point! this one has a LS3 cartridge style maf with IAT, but not to say it cant be split out of the harness and a traditinal IAT installed in the end of the filter for example.
yeah the ve spikes are comical, but ringing it out to 6800 on stock valvetrain parts though? You can stick a fork in 5.3's stock by 5500.
I personally like how hard the ve table was hit because...
I believe in that too, this one has the SD 60 #'s in it with data pulled right from the GB spreadsheet and the time spent to put it all in right. Idk this one was a freak that it was so inconsistent...
Just got sent this to review, this is one that was done by one of the forementioned fellows in this thread ironically enough. This is the one hes been driving around on currently, but there is...
OK i think the above mentioned 03 silvy SS is figured out. The addition of a check valve to keep rail pressure maintained, helped some as it extended the no start cycle out to about every 6 key...
Ok got one of the problem childs squared away... Ended up being overly rich during cranking. Ended up redoing the lower end of thecranking VE, VE and MAF table to fix that one up. It would false...
