I installed an STS turbo last week and initially I was rich below boost and lean when in boost. I have adjusted VE and got the rich areas leaned out some, but it seems that my changes have no effect...

Have they ever tuned an FI vehicle?
It might be worth the price just to see how to tune without a wideband.

What about the temperature of the exhaust. Since the exhaust is so much colder, and probably more dense, will it cause a problem? It would be right before the rear axle on a truck.
