Got it.
Thanks.
When cold and in open loop, the EQ ratio is applied to the VE tables. (is that right?)
So, if I adjust the VE tables in the idle area, I will likely need to adjust the EQ Ratio in the opposite...
I located the tables and will make the adjustments.
Engine>Spark>Advance>Idle Spark Advance>In Park
Engine>Fuel>Open Loop/Base>Open Loop>EQ Ratio
Engine>Airflow>General>Main VE>Primary...
Thanks. So, when engine is warm, adjust the AFR and\or idle to the AFR Ratio you suggested(or until the sound is achieved).
Which table(s) do you suggest I modify for the desired AFR that does not...
I am tuning the following setup and was wondering if someone could offer an opinion?
Vehicle: 1978, Chevrolet pickup.
Engine: 5.3L
Trans: TH350
ECM: 2000 Chevrolet, GMP01, OS 9381344
Camshaft:...
Glitches appear in the data while logging from a 2004 Dodge Ram, with the engine running or engine off with the key on.
This is the first time I scanned a Dodge Truck. I scanned a 2005 Tahoe...
Thanks.
Thanks.
For a 2009 Chevy truck with a 5.3L, the table to modify is TRANS> Torque Converter> Apply/Release> Speed> Normal ?
Also, the truck has a towing package. What happens exactly when the tow...
Could someone explain how to prevent the torque converter lockup in the lower gears?
What value would I write in the table?
I eventually started over. I converted the original 6.0L file again, by comparing it to a stock tune from a 5.3L. I must have missed something the first time around.
I adjusted base airflow and idle...
The default AFR Error worked.
Thanks.
So if my AEM sensor is recognized in the channel list it will be used in the default AFR Error or EQ Ratio Error graphs?
I am trying to populate my histogram with data from my AEM 03-0300 wideband O2. I would like to update my VE table with this data from the graph.
The AEM sensor is connected through my serial port....
The exhaust has been installed and includes a wideband O2 port.
I updated the cal file after comparing with a stock tune. then increased the idle and airflow so it would idle.
I have attached a log...
My apologies, I should have started the tread with this...
Here is the original file I read from the ECM. Please review it and share any concerns with using this calibration file with a 5.3L.
I...
I was originally concern about a 6.0L calibration file in the ECM with a 5.3L engine. Also, to have the engine run well enough to be mobile without stalling so often.
Yes, the exhaust is open...
Fuel pressure was 60psi. I made adjustments following the idle tuning thread so it will idle in park and in gear now.
here is a file I logged.
Thanks for the input.
I am tuning a vehicle for someone with the following setup:
Vehicle: 1978, Chevrolet pickup. Custom wiring harness.

I read the ECM...
I selected "read vehicle" again, this time I selected "gather info", selected only the PCM.
Saved the file, made the changes and I was able to write without any issues.
Thanks for everyone's...
I tried my first tune today on the same vehicle(2010 Chevrolet Silverado LT, 5.3 L) attempting to disable the DOD.
I recently purchased the MPVI2, 2 credits and the software is VCM Editor v4.6.3....
