I am experiencing the same problem but only on cold startup. I'll drive to the end of the road and put in the clutch and the rpm's will only drop to 1400-1500 then will settle at my 900 idle....

Ok, since it happened on the 3 I have I can see it being a GM problem.

1. 3 different 05 CTS-V's
2. 1 had the dealer put the VIN in the VCM... dealer voided factory warrenty.

Tried 3 different 05's. None had VIN. Used 1.6 to put VIN in one, dealer voided warrently on car to put VIN in another, and the third is still left without the VIN in it.

... cable DOES NOT work....

I stopped developing my tools for this very reason. That and I got little to no help with the CTS-V support I needed...

I might buy 2.0 support but more likely, I'm going to research other options...
