Curious to see how this turned out! I have a 2016 Beetle I've been considering digging into a bit
Well after about a year's hiatus from working on my C10, I'm finally finding the time to get back on it. When I last turned wrenches on it, I wasn't able to get the transmission to shift past third....
Got it, thanks
Did I misinterpret any of the advice you had given me in this thread?

Hello all,
Trying to dial in problems I'm having with my 4L60E.
First off, it lacks power coming from a dead stop. I'm having to put in almost 2,000 RPM in order to get the wheels turning....
So a little update on this -
Work got really busy and didn't have time to work on the truck. It's still having the same issue.
Is there anything really obvious I can look into that I might be...
I'll post the files in the AM
In the meantime - I'm getting a new DTC; P0717 (Input/Turbine Speed Sensor “A” Circuit No Signal). I haven't seen this before when running the other files. I don't...
From this morning's drive. Lacking power at launch - doesn't seem to have much in the way of power at WOT but seems to be shifting a bit more normally. Speedo also seems to be off a bit
I did as you instructed, and it seems to have made a significant difference in the shifting pattern. I'm going to pull a log tomorrow on my way to work to see if anything significant has changed in...
I do still have both files. I made a copy of what came off of the PCM originally before flashing in the file for the '05 Tahoe. What needs to be copied over?
Run, yes. Drive, no. It idled horribly and threw about 20 or so DTC's
The van file is for a 6.0L. I might be able to make it work but at the time I wasn't confident enough in my tuning...
Got it - so it's a PCM issue after all?
Should I just source one from a junkyard or order it new?
From the tune that was on the PCM before I flashed it;
Creation Date: 6/28/2022 12:39:45 AM
VIN: 1GBJG31U151196734
2005 Chevrolet Express 3500, 6.0 L, V8
Hardware: P59, GM Gen3 V8,...
As far as I've been told, they're compatible but I'm very new to all of this so I have no way of really knowing until I try it out. Have you found anything that might indicate this might be the...
Yea it's still a 2WD. The engine and trans came from the same vehicle (2004 / 2005 ish Chevy Tahoe 5.3L non flex w/ 4L60E) but the PCM came from another vehicle (2005 Chevy Express 6.0L with 4L60E)....
Yeah I think it was originally 3.43, I had tested it with that and had a similar issue. I changed it to 3.73 to match what's in the truck's rear end and it doesn't seem to have changed much, at least...
And here's the log from a quick lap around the block
For starters, here's the tune file. I don't currently have a log but I'll get one later today.
I'll have to read up on how to compile a log - I've just been watching the live readouts
Just double checking - presumably you're looking for an upload of the tune file I'm using?
So I finally got the Gen 3 LM7 w/ 4L60E in my '66 C10 tuned and running quite nicely. The problem now is that it's shifting way too early - I have the speedometer / VSS properly calibrated to my gear...
Grabbed a stock tune off of the repository, made a couple changes to it (deleted downstream O2 sensors) and flashed it onto the ECU. Idles and runs great now, and the throttle works perfectly. Thank...
My MPVI got here today and I was able to pull the OS off of the PCM - its number is 1272058 for a 6.0L and 4L80E. The VATS was already disabled, so that explains why I was able to get it started.
I'll ask around my circle and see if anyone is able to reprogram it to the year / OS.
If I make changes to the tune later on, do I have to pay an additional 2 credits every time I write a new file...
Thank you, I'll check it out!
So will this flash require 4 credits, or just the 2 that I got with the MPVI?
Also, is there a way to buy a license to do certain year range PCM's, or is it...
