Can anyone translate the above post into English? :)
From a previous post I made...
"I did a compare of a stock 2008 HHR SS file and GM Stage 1 file and the first thing I noticed is that The HPT software is only looking at 69 of 114 parameters. Of...
Just my 2 cents GMRACIN but if you would cut your posts in half and throw out the second half then you would come off looking much better than the way you are.
I thought it was a mack truck! ;)
Is it in the downloads section and are their release notes?
As far as I can tell no one is currently working on it. Seems HPT's limited resources are being used elsewhere at the moment. No timetable for them to resume either.
That's just my understanding...
I only see one "dick" in this thread. Same one you see in the mirror each morning.
What is wrong with suggesting people read the help files that answer 98% of the questions people have? That's...
Glad you cleared that up!
Unless you change the 2 sensors simply flashing would net you nothing but trouble.
BTW - IIRC the GM Stage tune submitted was for a 2008 HHR SS w/5M trans only.
GM released different versions for all supported vehicles.
WAG would be a copywrite issue. Then again HPT does post stock files so I'm not really sure.
Yes it has been read and modified even.
It has been submitted but last I checked not approved for the repository.
Not to my knowledge but I don't have access to a a dyno. Just a butt dyrno and while the tune I have never seems to go back to the old tune levels the ol' butt dyno seems to say it loses a bit.
...
A better explanation Bill.
"The stock production calibration is a sophisticated torque-based control system. It is constantly looking at all of the inputs - air temperature and pressure, charge...
From another forum Bill. The response is directly from GM.

I have an HHR SS TC 2.0.
The kit you quote INCLUDES the programming from GM so no benefit there. I find it hard to believe that 2 MAP sensors, gaskets and some wire would cost over $500.
The file is available, in fact I know someone did try to post it here but it may not have received approval from HPT due to copyright concerns. (That's just a WAG and it wasn't me!)
So just where...
Hmmm, I think I may like that answer.
I did the compare and noted the differences in a previous post.
What many of us are wondering is, since the HPT software APPEARS to read the ECM's programmed by Chevy with the new stage 2...
Might be the case but it seems they could take 30 seconds and make a post to that effect then no?
For some reason HPT doesn't see or want to reply to this thread.
Not sure why. Perhaps our market is still too small for them to care about it.
And just how do we get Chris to respond to this thread already!!!!!
Still waiting for HPT to weigh in on that possibility dont_blink. Yjere is another thread on this.
I understand we don't have access but does that mean when you do a flash or read it is not reading/flashing the entire code base?
Or is the HPT software only reading parts of the ECM? The file...
GM claims to have disabled the learn down code in this Stage tune. Would be nice to try and see if we can do that to the standard tune as well.
