Thanks for starting this thread. I had a similar issue to you. I have an 07 E38 out of a Silverado that I also changed to the card style MAF. When I did some MAF err tuning, I noticed the range on...
Look in the sticky section. There is a write up on this topic. Short answer is you can't go lower than the lowest setting in your table without changing your OS.
By "System", they meant "OS". Under the OS tab, you will find "General". Under General, you will see the VATS Patch 1 and 2 toggles. Set them to Disabled. Mine also has the Starter Fault Checks...
I know this subject has been beaten like a dead horse but I haven't seen my scenario covered. I have an 07 E38 in a swap. I have one Spal fan that I currently have wired through a toggle and a...
I hope it works for you and hopefully this helps others.
I wanted to give an update. First, I did find the Support email in my spam folder. Whoops!
Second, I figured out the reason for the error message. Support asked my to attach an "info log" .
...
Contacted support through the home page (twice). Once on Friday and again today. Still no response, other than the automated one.
No matter what I click on, the write icon is greyed out so I cannot make any changes to my ECM.
I just updated from 3.2 to 3.4. The VCM scanner connected and let me log. When I attempted to open the editor, I get a pop-up saying that there is an "Unhandled exception".
Any ideas?
Do I just copy and paste those values into the VVE table? How do I know what to modify with those values?
We figured out how to make the STFT's stop. I guess I need to drive it now and log some part throttle. Can anyone explain the advantages to logging the AFR err in open loop vs, fuel trims in closed...
Thank you! Any idea why it would go in and out of closed loop? I am trying to force it into open loop. All of the logging, so far, has been at idle. No part throttle yet.
So this is where I am confused, I see the STFT's subtracting a ton of fuel and the AFR's reacting. I just don't know why it is going so FAT. I'm commanding 13.5. When I was graphing AFR error and...
Do I just need to dial the MAF calibration table in better in that area it is idling?
In a track day car. No dyno, not street leagal to drive around. Just trying to get it close and safe to go to the track. I noticed that when doing an idle log and trying to dial in the MAF...
With the MAF now working, I forced into open loop and started logging AFR error at idle. When I started, my AFR's were pegged at 17:1 and it didnt even want to run. After a few rounds of copy and...
Schpenxel,
Thanks! And I see that. Question:
With it being that lean at idle, would you suspect a vacuum leak? Since the DOD has been deleted and a cam swap, the PCV hoses are ran in an...
NJ Phil, you are the man!!!!
The MAF now works. Now I can MAF tune it. right now, its a mess. The ECU is from a 4.8 Silverado. The engine is a 5.3 that has been cammed. AFR's at idle are...
Oh wow! You are the first person to mention this. I had NO idea. I will try it tomorrow and report back. I REALLY hope you are right.
