Hello,
I have an LTG from a 2016 Buick Regal with the E39a that I am trying to get running on an ENGINE dyno. This means the ECU is running stand alone without a body controller or transmission...
Hello all,
I'm having one hell of a time getting this 5.3L LH6 motor from a 2006 GMC Envoy XL to run properly. The engine is running in front of a manual transmission (no TCM) in a 2000 BMW.
...
P3400 doesn't exist.
EDIT: for the 2006 GMC Envoy.

Looking for an update as well. I'm experiencing a similar problem with an E40 PCM from a 2006 GMC Envoy XL 5.3L.
Thanks for the HHR file, I'm definitely going to look, compare and maybe even flash-all this file. The application is indeed a standalone setup. No body or transmission control modules.
I have two...
I'm heading back to the stock file with only the required modifications to force speed density and nothing else.
On a side note, I'm additionally having a problem with tip-in stumble. It "feels"...
E40 PCM from a 2006 GMC Envoy XL (1GKET66M766135299) running without a transmission controller and like the title says, I have no RPM limiter.
I tried only fuel cut, only spark cut, only ETC,...
Also to follow-up for anyone who lands here after searching for the same question I originally had,
...the class-2 single wire serial data connection is NOT used for flashing, tuning or logging on...
That's uh... not the correct engine controller. The P59(?) referenced in your link doesn't use high speed GMLAN like the E40 does. Thanks for the link though.
Hello all,
I am making a stand alone harness to do some bench testing / flashing of an E40 PCM. This particular module is from a 2006 GMC Envoy XL (E40 PCM on an LH6 motor.) All I want to do is...
I looked though the GMLAN Bible online. It's pretty sparse and doesn't contain anything specific to the E40 PCM. It's a great concept, but really lacking in content.
Does anybody have high speed GMLAN (CAN bus) message definitions for a 2006 E40 controller? I'm trying to convert the GM messages into BMW CAN messages and while I've been able to reverse engineer...
Hehe, sorry about that. It's my default filename for screen captures (I send a lot of stuff to Chrysler, figure it's appropriate.)
Sorry, that was an old screen shot. Version 3.0.121 still has this problem.

In previous versions of VCM scanner, I was able to control my fuel pump relay. This is how I setup and validated my fuel system. However, it seems that this feature is either hidden or has been...
Good to hear. I enabled the feature and flashed the update, but didn't get a chance to test the C2-43 pin yet with VCM scanner.
Next question, the system is originally a serial-cycling system:
...
Was hoping to not flash a new OS, but it's good to know that option is available as a last report.
Thanks.
For reference, this is the fuel pump relay diagram for the 2005 Silverado (L33):

Have you completely re-wired a new separate fuel pump relay, or did you tap into the existing relay wiring?
Most vehicles have a ground-side-switched / low side driver for fuel pump relay control....
Hello all,
I am trying to retrofit an L33 into a vehicle where the HVAC control head sends a 12V compressor request signal to the PCM.
Does the P59 PCM (Blue & Green) have the ability to...
Check out some of the innovate lm1/2 systems. I seem to remember they had a simulated binary (narrow band) output from their controller.
What are you measuring for "ETC Pedal Position" when your pedal is pushed all the way to the floor?
Full throttle at 2/3 pedal travel is kinda annoying...

My 2005 Silverado DBW setup does the same thing.
I was hoping to have the ability to recalibrate this curve, but the tables in HP Tuners do not align (like, not at all) with what's going on. I'm...
