Good tip. My evap purge valve is not being used, but I do have a smaller vacuum line on the evap canister that is open when the car is on.

Good tip. My evap purge valve is not being used, but I do have a smaller vacuum line on the evap canister that is open when the car is on.
It?s a 2001 5.7 Vortec in a 85 Landcruiser. Stock flexible tubeing from TB to MAF than directly I to a 90 to go to the front with a few 45?s to the front to get cooler air. Thing runs so much better...
Thanks for the info. I got it now. Soooo much easier to understand once you remove the AFR from your brain. Switching everything over in my scanner and math.
Thanks. It?s a manual transmission anyway.
There many different settings for PE to be enabled. How would I set it up to only use RPM and throttle position only?
What are the benefits and downfalls of deleting the MAF?
Your idle is not rich because your power enrichment is at 1.18. That tuner doesn't know what he is talking about if he says that. Power enrichment has thresholds it must meet before it can even enter...
Thanks. I would love my VE tables to be lambda. I foundation an old thread that mostly was arguing over stoich like most do but one comment finally clicked. While lambda is always 1, AFR display...
This is where you all get confusing. My wideband is completely separate and only reads what?s in the pipe. I would love to work In lamda but once again was told these gen 3 0411 PCM OS don?t work...
so I changed stoich to 14.12 like you said and went for a drive. the computer in closed loop is still only going for 14.7. heres the file.
Sorry I was under the impression narrow bands only cycle rich to lean to reach 14.7 only. That?s why it?s confusing me.
Even old narrow band o2 sensors?
It probably has 10% ethanol. So if I need to run 14.1 I would need to run open loop. Another thread says 87 should still be 14.7 though. @ 14.1 will it be worse MPG?
They will disagree about airmass if the stoich value is not representing the fuel in the tank properly, unless you use a known good OEM developed MAF curve.[/QUOTE]
I?m running 87 @ 14.7. Pretty...
I?m using a wideband and this is what?s so confusing. Without the MAF I?m right on 14.7 on my Closed loop trims and wideband. I mean if it really doesn?t matter running closed loop and it will change...
My temp sensor is separate. I want to understand how it works. When the MAF is hooked up my STFT & LTFT show adding a lot even when you change them they still add. And it still runs 14.7 but pops and...
I?m trying to understand how this works. So if I disconnect the MAF sensor all my trims go to minus and after awhile the LTFT and STFT are going back and forth between 1-2%. When the MAF is plugged...
How do add 2% to the MAF? Multiply .02?
So I have done the MAF and VE tables separate with less than 2%. when everything is turned back on the trims add 6-10% between the STFT and LTFT. Why is this. You would think if it?s all good why the...
It?s a GMC Savana 0411 ECM into a 85 Landcruiser. Dual exhaust no cats. I know I lose some MPG on my 33?s with 4:11 gears. Just don?t understand going through the entire wideband thing to go closed...
Thanks for the response. 10mpg hwy is pretty bad. No exhaust leaks. Maybe just run a tank open loop. Long trims are 12-15% lean
I have a interesting question. How far down should my narrow band o2 sensors be? Would moving them farther downstream help with a lean condition? They are currently right on my collectors about 4-6?...
Running around trying to get my VE tables set but idle and low ends changes drastically with ac on vs off. Ac runs through the PCM. Runs rich when ac on. Are there adjustable multiplier somewhere?
Running a 0411 out of cargo van and set it up on analog and wired low pressure signal straight to ground. Compressor runs then starts to cycle on computer signal. All pressure switches only cut off...
I have been watching my STFT on my tune and they are always adding 5-10 all over my tables. My LTFT are turned off. The file running was from the tuner. Originally this tuner doesn't like to use...
