When I hooked the lsj map on a 2.4 I used the settings that were in the 2.4 pcm and havent had any problems but I can not 100% say they are right.
Probably because how the throttle is setup. If the car has a bad vacuum leak it will cause a lot of problems.
Your math looks good. I usually play with it to make sure timing doesn't get way out of wake at idle.
You could check with the dealer about reflashing it back to stock with a tech 2 tool or just purchase a pcm.
You could go full stand alone to get it to manipulate the tune. Only pcm that might work is the one for the 2.4 thats flex fuel already.
Makes me wonder if its running to lean and timing is to low. Thats what we usually see causing the manifolds to heat like that.
