Will the release version have the virtual VE tuning included (gen4's) or will we still have to use a third party piece of software.
I just had the "Could not find one or more of the equation strings. Can not continue " using the tool as well.
Given it was the first time i had ever used it, i had no idea what I was supposed to...
On my box that are shown as this:

I can tell you that Normal is Normal Drive - which is totally standard in case the wife is driving.
Pattern "A" is...
I would be wary of increasing the pressures as its a clutch to clutch box and you may affect the oncoming / offgoing timings.
I personally dont touch the torque management - once you have reduced...
Hi - Could you post your stock tune so I can study whats changed.
Hi,
I changed all the shift speeds on my G8 in sport mode. The difference is amazing - holds onto the gears if I lift of the throttle and changes down to the right gear quickly when coasting down to...
I've got a 2008 VXR8 (Holden HSV) - is there a way to tell if it was the updated tune that I started out with?
I'm suprised she even noticed - unless of course you have it in S when driving on the highway - which is not what its for IMO. Sport is when you want to drive it in a sporty manner and not have the...
Glad you found it useful. The shift points suit the types of road where I live - But I can understand why you may want to lower them a little.
To me it feels lilke a more gentle PAL mode.
I removed 6th because it always seemed to want to get into 6th (and 5th) as quickly as possible (to save fuel) - often requiring a 6-3 skip shift when you give it some throttle. By removing 6th and...
So Ive got one of the old "black" ecm's with a service number of 16244210.
My scanner is 2.23.3616.25998 beta and it will connect and read the basic sensors such as throttle, coolant and map....
When I say a 4 speed, I mean 6th never engages and 5th only engages at a minimum of 70mph - or higher. So once you are up to 80 and let of the throttle it will drop into 5th or if you are hard on the...
Will HPtuners even scan and/reset codes on the early "black" ecus ?
Link fixed.
I've been working on the shift points (speeds) in sport mode and have been pretty happy with my first results.First of all, I disabled 6th gear and raised the 4-5 point to 70MPH.
That effectivley...
Look at TCC apply tables for TUTD - on my OEM tune, it locks the converter on the 2-3 shift when in TUTD. This is suprising, given the amount of torque going through it at the time - but what they...
Weather has curtailed things for me too.
Sounds like it from the last few posts. Esp. if it throws a code if it couldn't adapt. Hence the reason I only went from 40 to 60 and given what we have learnt I'm going back to 40.
I was looking at the tune more to understand how they can make the box handle more torque than the 6L80 - rather than using the parameters directly.
Has anyone studied /comparied a Cadillac CTS-V 6L90 tunes?
My thinking is that they have to cope with alot more power out of the box.
A quick compare of the stock tune against my stock tune shows...
OK Thanks for that.
I've been opening other tunes and now my own car's tune and I cant see anything under the "Main VE" Section. I've searched for "Main VE" on the board and didn't get any hits.
See attached....
